The 2nd Stakeholder Consultation Meeting

Despite the very particular global challenges we are facing at the present time, the Government of Senegal and the World Water Council are pleased to be able to share with you their intention to proceed with the co-organization of the 2nd Stakeholder Consultation Meeting for the 9th World Water Forum on 23 and 24 July 2020 in Diamniado, Senegal.

This meeting will be an important milestone in the preparatory process for the 9th World Water Forum which aims to catalyze positive collective action for the cause of water and sanitation. It will serve to define the collaborative actions that will contribute to the Forum’s Action Framework and to the broader 2030 Agenda. It will also help to shape the 9th World Water Forum’s program, which will take place less than 9 months later.

In line with the Forum’s effort of integration, hundreds of stakeholders from different horizons and perspectives will convene in Dakar to share their experiences, learn from each other, and collaborate together for a better future. Collectively, their voices will resound with the message that action and investment are needed at the highest political levels to deliver safe water and sanitation universally.

In the meantime, we would ask you to kindly note this date in your agendas. You will be informed as soon as the registration platform will be open on a dedicated area of the 9th Forum website. Should our plans need to change due to circumstances beyond our control, we will be sure to let you know.
